The Pinstripes have made some serious cuts and roster changes prior to tonight’s matchup with the Kansas City Royals. Melky Cabrera, New York Yankee outfielder, has been demoted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and replaced him with rookie Brett Gardner, of the same Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. First-baseman Richie found himself cut from the team and replaced by newly purchased Cody Ransom. The New York Yankees are sorely displeased with the quality of play each man has produced and this late in the season, they can neither afford any more mistakes, nor leave the ailing roster untouched. Something drastic needs to happen for the Yankees to start clicking. Additionally, right-hander Dan Giese has been placed on the DL for 15 days.
