The Philadelphia Phillies went down early and could not pull off the comeback. They fell short losing 5-4 to the Marlins Tuesday night. Brett Myers allowed two home runs in the 1st inning, and lasted only 5 innings. Myers gave up 5 earned runs, yielding 7 hits and 4 walks while striking out 5. Jimmy Rollins tried to lead the comeback with his 5th home run of the year, but the Marlins were able to hold on for the victory. Pat Burrell had two hits for the Phillies who have been one of the hottest teams in baseball heading into Tuesday.
