The Philadelphia Phillies couldn't do much Tuesday night, as they lost 3-0 to the Boston Red Sox. Jon Lester shut down the Phillies for 7 innings, allowing only 6 hits and 1 walk. Jamie Moyer took the loss for Philadelphia as he struggled with command lasting only five innings while walking five. Of the seven Phillies hits, 6 of them came from Jimmy Rollins, Jayson Werth and Pedro Feliz. Boston put up 2 runs in the 2nd inning which proved to be enough but tacked on another run in the 6th inning. Philadelphia will look to win the rubber match Wednesday.
