The Pirates fought off two rallies by the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night to win a wild one in extra innings at the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. Despite blown saves by both Damaso Marte and Matt Capps, the Pirates were able to take the lead in the top of the 11th inning thanks to an RBI triple by Jack Wilson, who was then driven home on a single by Nate McClouth. The drama wasn’t over yet, though. In the bottom of the 11th the Reds managed to score a run on two hits off of Romulo Sanchez before he was able to earn his first save of the season.
