The Pittsburgh Pirates and Houston Astros endured two rain delays Tuesday night, and after all was said and done, it was the Pirates we came out on top. Pittsburgh managed a 3 run rally in the bottom of the 8th inning to beat the Astros 4-3. The rain delays totaled over 3 hours, but it wasn't enough to stop the Pirates from striking at the right time. Adam LaRoche started the two out rally with his 10th home run of the year. After the next 3 batters reached to the load the bases, Nate McLouth singled to cap off the 3 run inning and put the Pirates ahead for good. McLouth also hit his 17th home run of the year in the 5th inning. Ian Snell started for Pittsburgh but it was John Grabow who got the win, pitching 2 innings of scoreless relief although allowing 4 walks. Damaso Marte picked up his 3rd save of the season with a near perfect 9th inning.
