San Diego Padres is playing with a huge determination of setting things right for the remainder of this season and this was clearly evident in the convincing 6-1 victory in the game against the Colorado Rockies last night. This is the first series win that the Padres have notched up in about a month and the credit for the victory must go to home runs by Greene and Hairston. Padres manager Bud Black said that he is hoping that the team plays similarly in the matches to come and the amount of work done by the staff, coaches as well as the players is really paying off now.
The Padres have won only six games of the 24 games they played this MLB season and this record is considered to be the worst ever in the history of MLB. Greene felt that more than winning or losing, it is the satisfaction that the team is playing well as a unit that is more important. Once the pitching, bat swings and good defense play is achieved on a consistent basis, he is sure that the Padres will be a hard nut to crack. There is hope in the San Diego Padres team that this series victory against the Rockies will turn the tides in its side in the forthcoming games.
