One night after the San Diego Padres put up 15 runs, they lost 4-0 to the Colorado Rockies Tuesday. Aaron Cook pitched his first career shutout for the Rockies as he allowed only 5 hits on the night. Nothing came about for San Diego as starter Josh Banks allowed all 4 runs in the 5th inning as he suffered his 3rd loss of the year. The bullpen did all they could for the Padres as they combined to pitch 3 scoreless innings of relief work but the offense couldn't manage anything against Cook. The Padres will look to bounce back Wednesday as they take on the Rockies in the series finale.
