Giants dominated by Mets bats, Pelfrey

The San Francisco Giants caught the New York Mets at a bad time.  The Mets managed 7 runs on 14 hits as they slammed the Giants 7-0 Tuesday Night. Mets starter Mike Pelfrey shut down the Giants as he pitched 7 innings allowing only 3 hits and the New York bullpen allowing none.  Giants All-star pitcher Tim Lincecum was roughed up for 9 hits, 4 runs and 2 walks through 6 innings of work.  It was only his second loss of the year.  San Francisco allowed 3 runs in the first and never recovered, as their pitching could not stop the bats of the Mets, allowing 4 home runs.  The Giants will look to slow down the Mets Wednesday night in the second game of the series.
