Giants shut down by Billingsley

The San Francisco Giants had a hard time figuring out Chad Billingsley Wednesday night, as the Los Angeles Dodgers won 4-0.  Billingsley pitched his first career complete game shutout and the Giants managed just 5 hits on the night.  San Francisco fell behind early as the Dodgers went up 1-0 after the first inning on a Russell Martin RBI single.  Los Angeles would add to the lead with 3 runs in the 3rd inning that was too much for the Giants to handle.  The Giants had a chance to ruin the shutout in the 9th inning but Jose Castillo was thrown out at the plate to end the game and preserve the shutout for Billingsley. Randy Winn had 2 hits on the night and Jonathan Sanchez suffered the loss allowing the four runs in just 4 innings pitched. The Giants are off Thursday and will head to San Diego for a 3 game series that starts on Friday.
