Blue Jays 3 Mariners 1

The Seattle Mariners had trouble against Toronto Blue Jays starter Dustin McGowan , falling 3-1 Tuesday night. McGowan pitched a complete game as the Mariners put up only 1 run and dropped to 23-42 on the year. Carlos Silva who has been struggling lately, pitched seven innings, allowing 9 hits and 3 earned runs with 3 strikeouts. Jeremy Reed was the lone bright spot for the Mariners as provided the only offense with his second home run of the year. The series finale takes place Wednesday with both teams winning one game.
