The Seattle Mariners came out on top in a slugfest Tuesday night to beat the Minnesota Twins 8-7. Raul Ibanez had three hits and five RBI including his 17th home run of the year for Seattle. In a game that featured both teams making come backs, it was the Mariners who got the bigger hit. Jose Lopez hit a two out two run double in the 8th inning to put the Mariners ahead and it would stand. The Twins jumped to an early 2-0 lead but Seattle stormed back the next few innings to work up at 6-3 lead. Then Minnesota rallied with four runs in the 8th inning to take a one run lead. But the Mariners would not settle for a loss as they managed a rally of their own to come away with the victory. Seattle will go for a sweep of the Twins on Wednesday in the series finale.
