Rangers News

Balanced Rangers Roster Essential to Success

The Texas Rangers have looked solid two months into the year, not only leading the AL West by three games as of May 28, but also owning one of the best records in the majors at 32-20. The team’s consistency throughout the early portion of the season is due in large part to the impressively balanced Rangers roster. Offensively, Texas ranks in the top 10 in key categories including third in slugging percentage (.439), fourth in batting average (.269), ninth in runs (241) and 10th in on-base percentage (.329), while pitching-wise, the Rangers boast a team ERA of 3.48, which ranks sixth as May comes to a close. Individually, Adrian Beltre has led the pack with 60 hits and a .288 batting average, with Elvis Andrus close behind with 33 runs, 57 hits, and a .271 average. On the defensive end, starting pitcher Yu Darvish owns a team-best seven wins and 105 Ks, though Derek Holland leads with a 2.97 ERA.

The coming weeks  will present a series of exciting challenges, and our marketplace promises an extensive selection of Rangers tickets.. The Rangers will host the Arizona Diamondbacks (May 29-30) and Kansas City Royals (May 31-June 2), before hitting the road to take on the Boston Red Sox (June 4-6) and Toronto Blue Jays (June 7-9).

2013 Rangers Replace Losses with Key Deals

After losing in two consecutive World Series, the Texas Rangers were left out of the playoffs last season, and many of their core players left. Most notably, Josh Hamilton signed with the Los Angeles Angels, Michael Young was traded to Philadelphia, and Mike Napoli went to Boston. Thankfully for Rangers fans, the great Nolan Ryan knows what he's doing, and the Rangers were able to snatch some fantastic players who are more than capable of filling the voids. The Rangers needed veteran leadership, defense, and quality at-bats; they got all three. The team signed former Chicago White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski and former Cardinals infielder/outfielder Lance Berkman, who fill all three needs. They also made sure that their pitching remained a club strength by signing relievers Joakim Soria and Jason Frasor.

The beginning of the season will likely have an adjustment period as everyone learns their roles, but the Rangers still have plenty of firepower in Nelson Cruz, Adrian Beltre, and the nascent Jurickson Profar to keep them more than competitive early on. And with an ace pitchers like Yu Darwish on board, the Rangers can certainly compete for the AL West. The 2013 Rangers schedule has the team starting on the road against the Houston Astros before coming home on Friday, April 5th for opening day against the Los Angeles Angels. The Rangers will also invite the Tampa Bay Rays, Seattle Mariners, and Chicago White Sox to Rangers Ballpark in Arlington in April. Make sure to get some of our excellent 2013 Texas Rangers tickets today to witness the new squad show their skills in the Lone Star State.

Rangers Secure Third Straight Postseason Bid

For the third year in a row, the MLB playoffs will include the Texas Rangers, though for the first time in franchise history, it’s via the wild card. In a battle down to the bitter end, the Rangers fell to the Oakland A’s in the final game of the regular season to just miss out on a third straight American League West Division title. Texas will be one of four wild card teams competing in the one-game playoff to earn a spot in the division series. If the Rangers prevail, they’ll host the New York Yankees in the first two games of the ALDS. Book your seats now with 2012 Texas Rangers playoff tickets in stock now.

Third baseman Adrian Beltre led the offense throughout the year and concluded the regular season with 194 hits, a .321 batting average, 36 homers, and 102 runs batted in. Shortstop Elvis Andrus put up solid numbers himself, collecting 180 hits, 31 doubles, and 85 runs.

2012 Texas Rangers Bringing the Bats

The Texas Rangers and manager Ron Washington will have to face an entirely new level of expectations this season after pulling off back-to-back World Series appearances in the past two years. Since the Nolan Ryan-led ownership group took over the team two years ago, the franchise won their only two AL pennants in team history and seen attendance numbers soar. Dallas-Fort Worth area baseball fans will be in hot pursuit of 2012 Texas Rangers tickets when seats go on sale this winter. Although fans were upset to see ace starting pitcher C.J. Wilson leave the team in the offseason, the Rangers are the front runner to land Japanese pitching sensation Yu Darvish. At the plate, the Rangers should have no problem generating runs with sluggers Michael Young, Josh Hamilton, Nelson Cruz, Mike Napoli, and Adrian Beltre swinging the lumber in Arlington for the foreseeable future. While Texas will be up against stiff completion in the AL West from the likes of the Angels, Mariners, and Athletics, Rangers faithful will unquestionably see some excellent baseball played this year at Rangers Ballpark.

Texas Rangers Ready to Repeat as AL West Champs

Featuring the 2nd best team batting average in the MLB, the big-swinging Texas Rangers appear to be on the brink of bringing postseason baseball back to Arlington, TX. The Rangers have been able to avoid the expected World Series hangover after reaching the Fall Classic for the first time last October. Caught in a fierce battle for first place in the American League West with the Los Angeles Angels, Texas has the talent and leadership to win the division for the second year in a row. Infielder turned Designated Hitter Michael Young has been a revelation this season, batting an astounding .335 and nearing 100 RBI mark for the second time in his career. You can count on manager Ron Washington's team to be better prepared for the postseason run after gaining experience last season during their World Series run. While the battle for the top spot in the AL West is far from over, fans booking 2011 Texas Rangers playoff tickets should feel confident in their franchise's postseason prospects.
