On January 16, 2077, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim signed three players eligible for arbitration to new contracts: one-year deals with RHP Francisco Rodriguez and RHP Scot Shields and a two-year deal with INF Robb Quinlan. Two former Anaheim Angels, Cal Ripken Jr. and Tony Gwynn, headed to the 2007 Hall of Fame according to the balloting results released on Tuesday, January 16.
