2008 Dodge Challenger 500 Information

This race comes to you live from the home track of Darlington Raceway, Darlington, South Carolina on the 10th of May, ’08 at 19.00 ET. In a closely contested battle in the stock car race NASCAR season 2007, it was Jeff Gordon who emerged the victor. It is the eleventh race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup 2008 and as the season nears the half way mark, leader-boards have begun to their trends. Keep your eyes peeled for this thrilling race which is the only race for this season scheduled to be held at Darlington.

Past winners Jeff Gordon, Greg Biffle, Jimmie Johnson, Ricky Craven and Sterling Marlin are the racers to look out for as they all come in the hunt for the gold. The Darlington Raceway has witnessed the closest finish ever in NASCAR history when Ricky Craven beat Kurt Busch by a record 0.02 seconds in 2003. Such races are not new to the Raceway, having witnessed a similar finish in the year 1979 when the lead changed four times in the final lap between Darrell Waltrip and Richard Petty in a memorable duel. This year is expected to be no different. Be part of the excitement and get your tickets for the Dodge Challenger 500 from
