2008 Ford 300 Race Information
The Ford 300 is all set to happen on the 15th of November at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. With all the races in the past being as fast as the ones we would have seen at the movies, the current season should not be any different. With so many drivers literally slugging it out for the top spot, it is only natural that besides skill and talent, one would require iron nerves to win this race and this race does take everything to win it.
This race being the last one in the NASCAR nationwide series or the Busch series, with that being a fact the competition is severe for this race as the drivers who had not won the last few races would go all out to make sure that they win this one. more
The race is for 300 miles and consists of about 200 laps or so. The tracks that this race takes place on, the Homestead-Miami Speedway, was built after hurricane Andrew had made himself felt in this part of the country. It was constructed around 1993 and the races have been on here ever since then. The length of the track is abound 1.5 miles and with the shape being a rectangular oval, the tracks here were a bit hard to handle at high speeds. As a result, most of the races held here run a bit slower than the ones held elsewhere. The tracks have undergone renovation ever since then and now the shape has become an oval and the tracks a bit flatter and the turns a bit sharper. This has resulted in the drivers being able to manage the turns at high speeds more effectively than they had before. This track does make the term ‘an exciting finish’ become all too real and if you want to watch all the excitement in person, then now is a good time as any to book your seats in advance through vividseats.com.
