2009 Bowling Green Falcons Season Information

The Falcons are the NCAA Division 1 football team of Bowling Green State University. They are members of the Mid-American Conference as part of the East Division. The Falcons currently have 10 conference championships to their credit. The Bowling Green Falcons have their home ground, the Doyt Perry Stadium, located on the campus of Bowling Green State University. From 1919 to the present times lead by head coach Gregg Brandon, the Falcons have played many years of exciting football. The 2008 season was an important one for the Falcons as they were involved in an upset win over Minnesota and were invited to the GMAC Bowl, their third bowl in five years. They faced the Tulsa Golden Hurricane and emerged with a disappointing 7-63 loss. They also beat arch rivals Toledo for the first time in three seasons.

The 2009 season, which is a milestone 90th season, begins on 30th August 2008 when they take on Pittsburgh at their home turf. They have 12 games in the season and they end the season by taking on rivals Toledo in the Battle of I-75. The Falcons will go in as favorites for the top finisher’s spot of the division.
