Hawkeyes' New Season

The Iowa Hawkeyes are returning this year prepared for all of the challenges of a fresh NCAA season. The Hawkeyes teams have spent heavy time in the offseason conditioning not only their bodies, but their minds as well. Players will return much more mature and much more experienced than last year. Iowa's football team and its basketball team are some of the premiere talents in the nation and they don't plan on disappointing Hawkeyes fans this year. The Iowa Hawkeyes football team, which has appeared in 22 bowl games and won half of them, has a strong history of victory. Their early years were stellar, to say the very least, winning games in long streaks at a time (topping off at 20 straight wins). In recent years, the Hawkeyes have begun to rediscover that past tradition of winning and have been employing it well lately. They have built a solid team all-around. From the big hulking linemen to speedy running backs to a cerebral quarterback, Iowa has all of the necessary puzzle pieces to be a potential threat to this year's Big 10 Conference Title. As for the Hawkeyes basketball program, early rough years paved a strong road on which to travel in the future. The Hawkeyes gained respect in the mid 1950s and have carried that on to the present day. In fact, the present day Hawkeyes are actually much more intimidating than they have been for quite some time now. Thanks to strong coaching and a roster of players not averse to hard-work, dedication, and demanding physical exercise, the Iowa Hawkeyes are in a prime position to dominate in the Big 10 Conference this year.
