With multiple NCAA Tournament championship banners hanging from the ceiling, Cameron Indoor Stadium is known for annually housing one of the most talented teams in the country. Additionally, the venue also serves as the home of one of the most dedicated cheering sections around in the "Cameron Crazies," who will surely be roaring when the Duke Blue Devils battle Miami Hurricanes Mens Basketball on Tuesday, January 13, 2015.
Cameron Indoor Stadium Seating Information
Seating around the court consists of Sections 17-20 on the lower level. Behind press row in Section 17 is an undergraduate student seating section, which continues to parts of Section 19 behind the team benches on the opposite sideline.
Duke graduates have seating reserved in Sections 18, 19 and 20, which are located behind both end lines. The Duke player/guest section is also located in Section 19 behind the Duke bench, while the visiting team player/guest section is located in Section 19 behind the visitor bench. The upper level consists of Sections 1-16, which starts behind the Duke bench and runs counter-clockwise around the venue to Section 16. The entire upper level is reserved seating, and all students with tickets to the student or graduate sections need to have proper ID.
Cameron Indoor Stadium General Information
Due to safety precautions, the following items will be prohibited: alcohol, noisemakers, balloons, balls, Frisbees, cameras with a professional lens, large bags and backpacks, coolers, containers, lasers, outside chairs, video cameras, and weapons. All bags are subject to search upon entry. Cameras are allowed, but they must not have a lens longer than four inches, and no flash photography, video cameras, or any other recording is allowed. No smoking is allowed inside Cameron Indoor Stadium, and no outside food or drinks will be permitted either. Re-entry is strictly prohibited as well.
Cameron Indoor Stadium Parking Information
There are several different options for parking for those driving to see Duke vs Miami Hurricanes Mens Basketball. General Public Parking Lots are located at the Small Circuit, Large Circuit, and PG 9 Lots for cash only. Each lot has at least a 10-minute walk to Cameron Indoor Stadium. There is typically a general public courtesy shuttle for those parking in the General Lots, which runs from Circuit Drive to Towerview Drive on weekdays only. Iron Dukes Parking requires a pre-purchased parking pass, and there will be checkpoints around the area to prevent general traffic from approaching the lots. The Iron Duke Lots include 751, Bassett Drive/Grounds, Blue Zone, Whitford, Public Policy, Card Gym and Chemistry, which are all within walking distance to the stadium.
Cameron Indoor Stadium Tailgating Information
The Iron Dukes Parking Lots open three hours before tip-off and the General Public Parking Lots and the Recreational and Oversized Vehicle Lots open two hours prior to tip-off. Tents, tables, tarps, and canopies are permitted, as long as they do not get in the way of pedestrian or vehicular traffic, and they must not take up more than one parking spot. Charcoal and other flammables must be disposed of properly, and should not be thrown in parking lot trash cans.
Cameron Indoor Stadium Gate Times
For both graduates and undergraduates, doors usually open 1.5 hours prior to tip-off, while the doors will open one hour prior to the game for the general public.
Cameron Indoor Stadium Accessibility
General Public Parking is located in the Science Drive Visitor's Lot, where an accessible shuttle will be available that will run from Circuit Drive to Towerview Drive. For those with an Iron Dukes parking pass, parking will be available in the Whitford Drive Lot. A drop-off and pick-up point will be located on Whitford Drive with very close access to Cameron Indoor Stadium.
There are a limited number of accessible seats, so accommodations should be made in advance of the Duke-Miami contest. Please contact the venue with any special requests ahead of time.
