The Battle of Tobacco Road will rage on when the North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils renew their heated college basketball rivalry on March 8 at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham. With 48 conference regular season titles and 36 ACC Tournament titles between these two teams, there is always plenty at stake when the Tar Heels and Blue Devils take the court, especially with March Madness right around the corner.
Cameron Indoor Stadium Seating Information
Aside from the excellence of the athletes and the charm of the fiercely loyal "Cameron Crazies," part of the appeal of Cameron Indoor Stadium is the intimacy of the venue. While many seats are near the court, most are available only to graduates or undergraduates. Sections 17 - 20 are adjacent to the court, while Section 18 and Section 20 are located behind each basket. Sixteen rows of seats fill the upper deck, all of which are reserved seating. The upper deck sections begin behind the Duke bench and travel clockwise around the stadium.
Cameron Indoor Stadium General Information
All persons and bags are subject to search upon entering the venue for Duke-UNC basketball. Once you leave the stadium, you will not be permitted to re-enter. Smoking is expressly prohibited inside the venue, as is outside food and drink. Cameron Indoor Stadium also does not allow large bags or backpacks, alcohol, noisemakers, balloons, balls, Frisbees, coolers, containers, laser pointers, chairs, video cameras, or weapons to enter the venue. Cameron Indoor Stadium Parking Information
The small circuit, large circuit, and PG 9 lots are available for cash customers only. It will take about 10 minutes to walk from these lots, but courtesy vans frequently travel the route. The general lots from Circuit Drive to Towerview Drive are only open on weekdays, and usually offer quicker access to the stadium. For maximum convenience, pre-purchase a parking pass for Iron Dukes parking. The Iron Dukes parking lots usually open three hours prior to tip-off for tailgating, but the general and recreational vehicle lots only open two hours before the start of the game.
Cameron Indoor Stadium Gate Times
The gates at Cameron Indoor Stadium usually open about one hour before the game starts. However, the gates open for graduates and undergraduates about 90 minutes before tip-off. The venue does permit tailgating; however, tents, tables, canopies and other such items must not impede pedestrian or vehicular traffic, and they cannot take up more than one parking space.
Cameron Indoor Stadium Accessibility
Due to the age of Cameron Indoor Stadium, accessibility seating is limited, so be sure to contact venue staff in advance of the game to ensure accommodations and requests are met.
