Pitt Possibly Looking at Final Season in BIG EAST

Talks of Pittsburgh’s earlier-than-expected exit from the BIG EAST have been heating up as Syracuse has been granted permission to leave next summer, though with a hefty fee attached. It’s been widely speculated that should the Panthers receive permission, they will leave for the ACC by the end of next season. Lock down 2012-13 Pittsburgh basketball tickets and take advantage of the limited opportunities to catch the Panthers compete in the BIG EAST.

Pitt will once again play an 18-game conference schedule, including home and homes with Cincinnati, Connecticut, DePaul, Marquette, Notre Dame, Seton Hall, South Florida, Syracuse, and Villanova. In addition to returning three starters and seven major contributors, the Panthers also boast a top-10 recruiting class who will look to make an immediate impact with the squad.
