Fans of Scarlet Knights basketball can get excited about the newly-planned, massive renovations to the Louis Brown Athletic Center, which serves as the home court to both the Rutgers men's and women's basketball teams. Amongst other things, the renovations are set to include a Rutgers Hall of Fame, a new entrance façade, seating bowl reconfiguration with premium seating, new equipment rooms, and a state-of-the-art practice facility. The dates for the change are yet to be released, but by claiming your 2012-13 Rutgers Scarlet Knights basketball tickets you can enjoy fantastic basketball and then be one of the first to experience the transformation.
Adding to the luster of Rutgers’ future, Coach Mike Rice was looking to add a scorer and playmaker on the wing, and he found his guy in 6’5” junior college transfer, Vincent Garrett. Garrett is a long-limbed scorer who played at Lee College in Baytown, Texas, arriving originally from Chicago. Along with Dane Miller and Mike Poole, he gives Rutgers three legitimate wings to help them fight to rise to the top of the Big East. Last year, Rutgers finished the season at 12-10 overall, with a 4-5 conference record. This year, the squad believes they can make strides in the Big East, so come out and watch them compete live.
