Cougars Background Information

The Washington State Cougars come from Washington State University (WSU). The team competes in the Pacific Ten Conference and represents the University in the NCAA Division I. Washington State University athletics consists of 15 sports teams: basketball, baseball, football, cross country, golf, track and field (men's sports); and basketball, golf, cross country, rowing, soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball (women's sports). In the past there were also boxing, wrestling, and gymnastics athletics programs. The University has also advanced programs in intramural and club sports.
