The first participants were Florida State and the Louisiana State University (won with the score 31-27). On the 31st of December 1976, Kentucky played a love game with North Caroline (21-0). The last game played was held on the 30th of December in 2005 where the Louisiana University beat the Miami team with the score 40-3.
