Butch Davis Prepares for 2011 Cincinnati Football Season
Things may have not gone as smoothly as Butch Davis hoped for in his first season as head coach the University of Cincinnati, but the 42-year old offensive guru has reason to believe next season will be better. The Bearcats has a core of talented seniors returning to school, including quarterback Zach Collaros, running back Isiah Pead, and wide receiver D. J. Woods. Davis took over a program from Brian Kelly for the second time when he was hired by Cincinnati last year. In his three years as Central Michigan head coach, Davis brought the Chippewas to three bowl games and captured two MAC championships. more
Bearcats fans purchasing 2011 Cincinnati football tickets will be looking for their team to improve defensively, after a much maligned season on that side of the ball. Davis’ team will have a great opportunity to re-establish themselves as a top program in the wide open Big East Conference. Although maintaining a winning program is never an easy task, Cincinnati has potential to light up the win column in 2011.
