Memorial Stadium Champaign Seating Information
Seating for Memorial Stadium starts in the northeast corner near the football complex with Section 101, and continues behind the visitor's sideline to Section 108. Section 109 begins the family rate and horseshoe section, and runs along the south side of the venue to Section 122. Sections 123-131 run along the Fighting Illini's bench, and the north side of the stadium consists of sections 132-137, which are all student sections. The band will also be seated in parts of Sections 133-135. The upper level consists of sections 201-209 on the sideline, while the Illinois sideline is home to the Colonnades Club, sections 223-231, the 77 Club, and all other premium suites.
Memorial Stadium Champaign General Information
Concessions for food and drinks can be found throughout the venue, but alcohol is prohibited inside Memorial Stadium with the exception of the premium seating areas. The following items are prohibited: large bags or backpacks, banners, signs, concealed weapons, coolers, bottles, cans, glass, noisemakers, strollers, and umbrellas. Food in clear plastic bags may be brought inside the venue, as can sealed plastic bottles of water 20 oz. or smaller. Seatbacks and seat cushions are permitted, but they must be smaller than 9"x 16". Cameras are permitted, but any cameras with a tripod, video capabilities, professional or removable lenses are not allowed inside, and anyone entering the venue is subject to a search. There is no re-entry at Memorial Stadium, and smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the venue.
Memorial Stadium Champaign Parking Information
The majority of Memorial Stadium parking is pass only, but lots 44, 48, 49 and the Research Park lots are available for game day purchase. All lots open at 7 a.m. local time and stay open until 10 p.m., or one hour after the game. Bus parking is only available on Pennsylvania Avenue, and overnight parking is prohibited in all lots. The "TranSport Route" shuttle service will also be available for a small fee, and begins at Goodwin and University Avenues and makes multiple stops before dropping off at Fourth Street and Kirby Avenue.
Memorial Stadium Champaign Tailgating Information
Tailgating is allowed in all of the football parking lots, but guests must abide by the rules that pertain to the festivities. All tents must be 10'x10' or smaller, and the tailgate must fit within your parking space. No tailgating on the sidewalks or walkways will be allowed, and there will be no electrical power distributed anywhere in the lots. The Illini Street Fest will also be in full effect before every home game on First Street between Kirby Avenue and Irwin Drive.
Memorial Stadium Champaign Gate Times
The Gates at Memorial Stadium will open 1.5 hours prior to kick off, but suites and club areas will be open two hours ahead of game time.
Memorial Stadium Champaign Accessibility
Memorial Stadium has both accessible seating and accessible parking available for those in need. ADA seating in the Horseshoe is accessible through Gates 31 and 32, and access to the north stands and west balcony is through portals 1 and 3. There is limited ADA parking throughout the campus, and golf carts will be available for transportation between parking lots and the stadium on game days.
