The Kansas State Wildcats are the teams of the Kansas State University. Their major color is royal purple, but sometimes the teams also use white and silver as their secondary colors. The Kansas State Wildcats are the members of the NCAA (the National Collegiate Athletics Association) Division I and the Big Twelve Conference. The main sports are football, basketball, cross-country, track, baseball, and golf (for both mens and womens teams); tennis, rowing, equestrian, and volleyball (only for women).

Talking about football it should be mentioned that the Kansas State Wildcats have recently become the winners in the game against the University of Texas (on the eleventh of November, 2006). They owe their recent wins to their new head coach Ron Prince. The team participated in many Bowl games and won six of them (the Copper Bowl in 1982, the Holiday Bowl in 1995, 1999, and 2002, the Fiesta Bowl in 1997, and the Cotton Bowl in 2001).
