On March 8, 2008, the Hurricanes are already on their sixth practice in the training season and preparing for their first scrimmage. They need to show their fans how they have developed and readied themselves for the 2008 game season, and where they are headed for 2009. The disappointing 7-6 record from the 2006 season is not sitting well, and they want to show the fans how the offense and defense are putting it into high gear and working well together after turning over Larry Coker and bringing in Randy Shannon. Shannon made immediate sweeping changes that focused on the discipline, both on the field and off, of the individual player with the punishments being doled out directly effecting their place on the depth chart.
The 2007 season was also quite unremarkable, but it was a season of change for the Miami ACC team. With a clean house, a new staff, improved grades, improved senses of responsibility, and greater liabilities for lapses in focus, we hope to see this team turn around and show us their colors in 2008-2009.
