Returning to help a challenging 2013 Mizzou football schedule are eight offensive starters, including two-year starting quarterback James Franklin. The team also expects to regain the services of stud running back Henry Josey, who missed all of last year due to a knee injury he suffered late in the 2011 season. Josey, who rushed for nearly 1,200 yards before the injury, will provide a major boost for Missouri’s running game if he is indeed ready to suit up for action in the fall. Defensively, the team will welcome back middle linebacker Andrew Wilson—team leader in tackles two consecutive seasons—along with five other starters from a solid 2012 unit.
Although he has served as the starting QB for the past two seasons—including a 2011 season in which he accounted for 36 touchdowns—Franklin will have to compete for the first-string spot with redshirt sophomore Corbin Berkstresser, who started four games last year, and highly touted redshirt freshman Maty Mauk. With Mizzou football tickets from Vivid Seats, you can be inside Faurot Field to see the Tigers battle for conference supremacy against the best in the SEC.
