New Mexico Bowl Info

The New Mexico Bowl is a NCAA-certified post-season college football bowl game. It takes place at University Stadium of the University of New Mexico, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The bowl fields a team from the Mountain West Conference and a team from the Western Athletic Conference. Zia Pueblo is the team’s symbol, it is also represented on the state flag. Zia has been imbedded into the New Mexico Bowl’s logotype. Zia Pueblo is an Indian tribe, which lived in New Mexico. The winner of the New Mexico Bowl gets a 20-inch of Zia Pueblo pottery.

The New Mexico Bowl has been held only once yet. It was established last year. The first matchup was played between the New Mexico Lobos from the Mountain West Conference and the San Jose State Spartans from the Western Athletic Conference. The Spartans gained the victory, they won by the score of 20 to 12. This game was broadcast on ESPN.

This year the New Mexico Bowl will be held on December, 22. The participants are still obscure, they haven’t been picked up yet. So keep your hand on a pulse to be able to purchase the New Mexico Bowl tickets as soon as the players are announced.
