Ohio Bobcats is the official name of the sports teams of Ohio University. The school represents
20 University sports teams. The Bobcats are members of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) in all
sports except women's lacrosse. This sports team plays in the American Lacrosse Conference. The
Bobcats were a charter member of the Mid-American Conference in 1946, and the team is the only one,
which is still in the same Conference. Originally it was comprised of five team leagues which
included University of Cincinnati, Butler University, Case Western Reserve University, and Wayne

teams play at the highest level in the NCAA, with Ohio football team participating in Division 1-A,

Bowl games, however they lost 14-15 to West Texas State in the 1962 Sun Bowl and 42-49 to Richmond
