UCLA Bruins Background Ticket Information
The UCLA Bruins are known as the UCLA teams (University of California at Los Angeles). As part of the Pacific Ten Conference the UCLA Bruins (both mens and womens teams) take part in NCAA Division I-A. Among the names of the famous athletic alumni one can mention Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Jackie Robinson, Ann Meyers and Troy Aikman. As far as the UCLA colorus is concerned, they are gold and the so-called True Blue that is slightly darker than the previous color of the teams. Actually, the UCLA athletic department and Adidas developed the new shade in the year 2003. The colors worn in the early school days were gold and Navy blue. After the appearance of Red Sanders,the new football coach, the football uniforms were modernized. The UCLA Stripe (a gold loop on the shoulders) was added. A lighter shade of blue was better from Sanders point of view as it looked better both in film and on the field. UCLA Bruins home venues are the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California (the UCLA Bruin football team plays there) and Pauley Pavilion (This is the place where the men's and women's volleyball and basketball teams play).
