2009 Western Michigan Broncos Season Information

The Broncos are the NCAA Division 1 football team of the Western Michigan University. They are members of the Mid-American Conference as part of the Western Division. They have an impressive record to their credit. The Broncos played their first season in 1906. Their home stadium is the Waldo Stadium inside the campus of Western Michigan University. Their chief rivals are Central Michigan University. Head coach Bill Cubit has been a crucial part of their team since he joined in 2005. He brought them from a negative to a positive average in only one year. The 2008 season was an exciting one as played in the inaugural International Bowl held at Toronto, Canada.

For the 2009 season the Broncos begin on September 1, 2008 by going head to head with West Virginia at Morgantown. At the end of their season they are set to play against Temple in a home conference game on November 24. Coach Bill Cubit has high expectations for this season as does the team with the addition of three new coaches to the staff.
