For just the sixth time ever, the Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers will go head-to-head during the opening month of the 2014 season. The Sept. 21 Sunday night primetime matchup at Bank of America Stadium will be the earliest the two have ever met as all previous contests have taken place in December. After winning the first-ever clash in 1996, the Panthers have fallen in each of their last four versus the Steelers, including the most recent matchup in 2010, though three took place on the road. The contest will be the first of three primetime appearances for Carolina, while for Pittsburgh; it will be the team's second straight week competing in primetime but first on Sunday evening.
