In a change of pace from recent years, AFC East foes Miami and New England will square off in the very first game of the 2014 NFL season when action unfolds on Sept. 7 at Sun Life Stadium. Interestingly enough, the last time the Dolphins opened the year at home also featured a game against the Patriots back in 2011. The 2013 campaign brought an end to Miami's seven-game skid versus New England, and the squad will be looking to take two straight from the Patriots for the first time since 2000.
Sun Life Stadium Seating Information
The absolute closest seats available for Dolphins-Patriots are located in the limited Field Club areas consisting of Sections 2-3 and 53-55 near one end zone, and 25-27 and 29-30 by the other. From there, the Sun Life Stadium is broken down into the Lower Level (101-156), Club Level (201-256), and Upper Level (401-456). Additionally, clubs and suites also can be found throughout the venue in between the Club and Upper Levels. Unlike many major stadiums, all seating levels inside Sun Life Stadium completely surround the playing field. Note that the Dolphins typically occupy the sideline near Sections 138-146.
Sun Life Stadium General Information
Outside food and drink, alcohol, professional cameras, umbrellas, strollers and noisemakers are not permitted inside the venue, along with any items included in the NFL's strict bag policy. Items typically allowed include small personal cameras, footballs, unopened plastic water bottles no greater than 16 oz., and binoculars. All guests are subject to search and re-entry will only be extended on Sept. 7 to those with a stadium-issued re-entry pass.
Sun Life Stadium Parking Information
A number of color-coded, on-site parking lots should be available at Sun Life Stadium for Patriots vs Dolphins, and are designated according to color including Blue, Maroon Purple, and Orange. Limousine, bus, and RV parking is available for an additional fee, and accessible parking is available near the main gates. Parking lots usually open four hours before the scheduled start of games.
Sun Life Stadium Gate Times
Sun Life Stadium gates typically open two hours before kickoff, but this is subject to change for Patriots vs Dolphins on Sept. 7.
