About The Rascal Flatts

By 2005, the group earned its third consecutive ACM and CMA Vocal Group of the Year awards, and added Billboard and R&R Artist of the Year trophies as well. The trio also picked up three Grammy nominations, and "Bless The Broken Road" received the Grammy for Country Song of the Year. Rascal Flatts was the most played artist on country radio in 2005, spending ten weeks at #1 on the radio singles charts. Finishing at #7 in all genres, Feels Like Today was the year's best-selling country album, with sales of more than 2.5 million in 2005 alone.

Rascal Flatts achieved notoriety in 2003 with their music video, "I Melt". Some fans objected to the video - which starred band member Rooney and model Christina Auria - because it contained brief nudity, and wanted the video banned from CMT and Great American Country. Eventually, Rascal Flatts released an edited version of the video, which aired during daytime hours on CMT. The group also released a music video for the song "Skin." The song - a hidden track from the album Feels Like Today - and video chronicle a teen-age girl's struggle with cancer. The song's video featured the Cirque du Soleil performers.

In May 2005 they performed their hit "Bless the Broken Road" live on the popular television program American Idol with contestant Carrie Underwood. They toured with Brooks & Dunn and Kenny Chesney, then headlined their own tours: CMT Most Wanted Live Tour" 2003, and 2004 & 2005s "Here's To You Tour." This summer and fall they bring their "Me and My Gang Tour" to venues across the United States.
