In their first match of the 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup, Liverpool FC and Olympiacos FC will go head-to-head at Soldier Field in Chicago on July 27. The two world-class clubs are part of Group B, which also includes Manchester City and AC Milan. In conjunction with the format for this year's event, each team will face the others in the group, and the team with the best record at the end will earn a trip to the final in Miami. Soldier Field Seating Information
Though the playing surface at Soldier Field will need to be adjusted accordingly, the seating area in the venue will largely remain the same as it is for Chicago Bears games or concerts. Sections 101-155 on the Lower Level offer the closest views of the Liverpool-Olympiacos match, and the clubs are expected to occupy the same sideline for the contest, which is likely to be near Sections 104-114 though this is subject to change. The next levels then include Sections 202-256, making up the Colonnade, the Media Deck and the Club Level, followed by Sections 301-317 which are also part of the Club Level, Sections 318-326 and 348-356 making up the rest of the Colonnade, and then finally the Grandstand which includes Sections 330-344 and 427-447.
Soldier Field General Information
In order to ensure the safety of all fans attending the International Champions Cup, all guests and belongings are subject to search upon entry into Soldier Field. You may not bring things like alcoholic beverages, coolers, cans, noisemakers, seat cushions, and umbrellas into the stadium. Smoking is strictly prohibited, though also note that there are no designated smoking areas inside either and re-entry is not permitted.
Soldier Field Parking Information
Parking for a fee will likely be available in the North Garage, South Parking Lot, Adler Planetarium Lot, Waldron Parking Lot, and East Museum Lot. Guaranteed prepaid parking may also be available. A drop-off area is available outside Gate 14, and accessible parking is located in every lot. Public transportation and taxis also can be utilized as an alternative to driving on July 27.
