Circuit of The Americas to Host MotoGP in April 2013

This spring, MotoGP racing returns to the U.S. for the annual World Championship series in Austin, Texas, April 19-21. Thousands of fans are expected to attend and will witness international motorcyclists competing for one of three championship titles at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas. The competition will be the second of 18 worldwide MotoGP competitions, which travel everywhere from Qatar to Great Britain. The Circuit of the Americas only opened in November 2012, but is already slated to host significant racing competitions, like the V8 Supercars Series and the 2013 US Grand Prix.

This year’s Austin competition is broken into three separate days. Friday will be a series of free practice races, while Saturday will introduce the recently reformatted qualifying rounds, and Sunday will complete the weekend with warm-ups and final races.
