The NCAA has extended its divisions of sport competitions to new areas and is still expanding to other areas. The NCAA also holds an annual championship for women's volleyball. The tournament commenced in 1981 and has been held since then. NCAA Women's Volleyball championships are held at different levels. These levels or grades are based on the qualifications of the various participating colleges and their performances in the previous years. There are three different grades in the NCAA Women's Volleyball. These are the Division I, Division II and Division III.
The NCAA has had some substantive growth in the total number of fans watching the game and there has also been an increase in the number of women players actively involved. The game has continued to grow in popularity and acceptance in both the men and women championships.
The winners of the just concluded Division I game of NCAA Women's Volleyball Game were the Pennsylvania State University. The Division II winners of the same year were the Concordia University of Saint Paul while division III winners were the Washington University, Saint Louis. Since its inception in 1981, the NCAA Women's Volleyball has been held annually. The previous winners of the Division I Volleyball were the Southern California team in 2003, the Stanford University in 2004 and the Washington University in 2005. The Women's Volleyball Championship is a big step to encourage and support women in America playing volley ball because it is a huge source of entertainment, enlightenment and exposure.
