NHL Heritage Classic Ticket Information

First launched in 2003, the NHL Heritage Classic is similar to the annual Winter Classic, though has remained strictly between Canadian teams. In similar fashion, each event is held outdoors, with the stadium located in the city of the home team for the particular year. Vancouver to Host 2014 NHL Heritage Classic

For the first time since 2011, the NHL Heritage Classic is set to return to Canada on March 2. In the third installment of the event, the Ottawa Senators and host Vancouver Canucks will headline the showdown in 2014 for the first time ever at BC Place. The Montreal Canadiens had participated in both of the previous Heritage Classics including the debut in November 2003 against the Edmonton Oilers and again in February 2011 versus the Calgary Flames.

While the outdoor nature of the event is nothing new, it will, however, be the first time an NHL team hosts a game inside a venue with a retractable roof. The newly renovated BC Place boasts a capacity of just under 60,000, and will be closed if needed should the weather be an issue. Retractable roofs aside, the state-of-the-art venue is packed with features including a massive HD video board and substantial wireless Internet access. The buzz is building already so check out the inventory and secure your NHL Heritage Classic tickets today.
