2012 Wrestlemania at Sun Life Stadium

Almost three decades since its inaugural event, Wrestlemania is still one of biggest events in all of sports. The revered pro wrestling pay-per-view event will celebrate its 28th edition at Miami Gardens' Sun Life Stadium on April 1, 2012. The event will mark the first time that Wrestlemania has been held in the Miami area. Orlando was the site of Wrestlemania XXIV which was highlighted by boxing champion Floyd Mayweather making his wrestling debut against the Big Show. The pro wrestling world is still recovering from Wrestlemania XXVII which was held this past April 3rd. Dubbed "The Biggest Wrestlemania Ever," WWE's top grapplers wowed a crowd of 71,000+ inside the Georgia Dome. The event marked the return of The Undertaker to the ring after a prolonged absence. "The Deadman" outlasted Triple H in a No Holds Barred match. MTV Real World turned WWE Champion The Miz held on to his title belt in his match with John Cena, thanks to some assistance from special guest The Rock. Cena will be able to exact revenge next year at Wrestlemania when The Rock makes his long-awaited return to the ring.
