Nineteen grass courts in all comprise the prestigious All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club. As with any major tennis tournament, the main court serves as the primary site for the event's biggest matches including the finals. Wimbledon's Centre Court is no different, boasting a capacity of roughly 15,000, and is centrally located inside the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club. In 2009, a retractable roof was installed to allow for play in the event of inclement weather. No. 1 Court also is a major site for play during Wimbledon and is able to hold just under 12,000 spectators and is scheduled to have a retractable roof installed down the road as well. Courts Nos. 2-4 are also known to hold notable matches throughout Wimbledon, including many upsets and up-and-coming players looking to rise through the ranks.

Flash photography is strictly prohibited from the stands. Information desks can be found throughout the grounds for help at any time, as well as first aid posts and lost and found. Re-entry is permitted only with a valid ticket and wristband, which can be picked up at Gates 5 and 13. For guests driving to the All England Lawn Tennis Club, a "Park and Ride" option is available at Morden Park for a fee. Shuttles will run throughout the day for guests utilizing this mode of transportation. There also will be pre-paid public parking and unreserved public parking available for a fee, but space may be limited so guests are encouraged to arrive early. Motorcycles, minibuses, and coaches are permitted as well.
In terms of other transportation, using public transportation is highly recommended and includes the tube, train, trams, buses, and taxis, which all will have routes to Wimbledon Station. Bicycle racks will be available on site, but be aware that the venue holds no responsibility for items left unattended.

The All England Lawn Tennis Club opens daily at 10:30 a.m. local time and closes at 11 p.m. local time, unless matches go longer. Check the various displays inside the venue containing the Wimbledon schedule of play for particular players. For the first 11 days of the tournament, matches at Centre Court will begin at 1 p.m. local time, and 2 p.m. for the finals. Play at No. 1 Court will begin at 1 p.m. local time each day, while all other courts will begin play at 11:30 a.m.
