Cirque Dreams Background Information

Cirque Dreams has finally come to your city; this circus fantasy of strength, spectacle and miracle creation of the Broadway Theatre League should be seen at least once by everyone. An inventive acrobatics, costuming, choreography and music are balanced in a very professional manner.

An exhilarating 90-minute, two-act performance contains a lot of things you’ve never seen before. First act is a variety of original scenes with comical, magical and fantastical moments. As in any circus, here are two or three things going on at the same time onstage. Parents will enjoy the clown antics and the audience participation skits from beginning to end even more than their kids.

The second half of the show is full of dramatic aerial and athletic acts, difficult even for a complicated European cirque-style show, and it’s worth the whole price of admission. One of the most dramatic moments is the three men from Russia who balance on each other’s heads, hands and very muscular bodies in very slow and exact movements.

Audience’s favorite act is the Russian acrobat who displays his balancing skill on a raised area by placing five rolling cylinders standing on top of each other while each rolling in a different direction. You won’t believe that he’s going to do it because it seems impossible, but he will do this to the audience's amazement!

This mesmerizing and illuminating show is a great amusement for the whole family! Take the kids – they will certainly love it.
