Guy Laliberté is an accordionist, stilt-walker and fire-eater. He also founded Quebec's first internationally renowned circus with the support of a small group of accomplices- the street performers from the Fête foraine de Baie-Saint-Paul and he thus created Cirque du Soleil in 1984. He has led the creative team through every show and contributed to reinventing the traditional notion of “circus” to a level of the great artistic achievement.
