Colin Mochrie

Colin Andrew Mochrie was born November 30, 1957. He is a Scottish-Canadian comedian and actor. His humor falls under improvisational comedy. Mochrie spent nine years as a regular on the British Channel 4 hit series Whose Line Is It Anyway After this, he appeared in ABC's American version of the show which was hosted by Drew Carey. His co-stars often made fun of his receding hairline and gave him the popular “Captain Hair” jokes.

Mochrie also starred in the Canadian comedy series Blackfly and Supertown Challenge. His other involvements were This Hour Has 22 Minutes from 2001 to 2003, Drew Carey's Green Screen Show in 2004, and Getting Along Famously in 2006. Mochrie appeared as guest star in The Drew Carey Show for three episodes. He also guested on Nickelodeon's Figure It Out. He appeared in a lot of media spots as well. Mochrie's most well-known impressions would be Colonel Klink, Peter Graves, and CBC News Anchor Peter Mansbridget. Mochrie is also famous for his very popular impression of Craig T. Nelson.

In 2002, he took on a minor role in Jackie Chan's movie The Tuxedo as the curator of a museum. He appeared with Wayne Gretzky, Leslie Nielsen, and Roy Hallady in 2003 in television and print advertising to encourage the people to visit Toronto after the disease SARS hit the city. Mochrie has received five Canadian Comedy Awards and won two of them. He also received a Gemini Award and a Writers Guild of Canada Award for his performance in This Hour Has 22 Minutes. Mochrie has spent more than 25 years of his life as a performer. Mochrie and Ryan Stiles became close friends when they met at Second City. Mochrie is married to Debra McGrath, who voiced a character in the children's television series Seven Little Monsters with him. They have a son, Luke.
