Disney on Ice is produced by Feld Entertainment in agreement with The Walt Disney Company. This touring ice show showcases Disney cartoon characters' played by figure skaters wearing costumes and performing according to the themes and plots from different Disney films. Disney on Ice shows have performed all over the world, even in non-traditional skating regions such as the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, South America, North America, Europe, and Australia. Among Disney on Ice's current shows are Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour, Princess Wishes, Disneyland Adventure, Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo, Princess Classics, 100 Years of Magic, and Mickey & Minnie's Magical Journey.
Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour is based on the combined plots of High School Musical and High School Musical 2. The actors in the movie do not appear in this show, although the movie's director and co-choreographer Kenny Ortega co-produced it. The show will hold it international tour this year, 2008. The Princess Wishes first opened on September 1, 2006 in Lakeland. This show features short versions of the Disney princess characters' stories, including those of Snow White, Cinderella, Mulan, Belle, Jasmine, Aurora, and Ariel.
The Disneyland Adventure tour began on August 25, 2005, also in Lakeland. Disneyland serves as the setting for the show. Disneyland/Pixar's Finding Nemo, which opened on September 3, 2004, features the story of the movie having the same title. Princess Classics, which opened on August 30, 2002, focuses on the stories of Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora, and Mulan. The show 100 Years of Magic is a show told by Mickey & Minnie, taking stories from The Lion King, Mulan, The Incredibles, Toy Story, and Finding Nemo. Mickey & Minnie's Magical Journal is the oldest show on the tour. It opened on October 12, 1995 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
