Hughie Ticket Information
Written by Nobel Prize winner Eugene O’Neill, the drama Hughie explores the fleeting natures of time, luck, and life. Aging gambler Erie Smith had a trusted confidante in Hughie, his building’s night watchman. After Hughie passes away, Erie’s gambling luck takes a turn for the worse, but the arrival of a new clerk with a similar name causes the longtime gambler to reflect and hope for the future. Told in the form of a long monologue, Hughie made its Broadway premiere in 1964, and a series of excellent actors, including Al Pacino, Ben Gazarra, and more, has since brought the play to new levels.
