Shrek the Musical is based on the Dreamworks film. The book it was also based off of (Shrek!) was written by William Steig. The lyrics and book for the musical were written by David Lindsay-Abaire with music by Jeanine Tesori. Shrek the Musical is directed by Jason Moore and Josh Prince will create the choreography. The show is scheduled to debut at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre in August 2008 and run through September.
