Jacksonville Municipal Stadium is home to the Jacksonville Jaguars. This stadium is located in downtown Jacksonville, Florida and holds 67,000 people. The stadium is also home to the annual NCAA University of Florida vs. University of Georgia football game and the Gator Bowl. For the annual NCAA University games and Super Bowl games, additional seating is added to the stadium which increases the capacity to 82,000.
Originally called the Gator Bowl Alltel Stadium, the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium has the distinction of being the quickest built stadium in US history. After the original Gator Bowl Stadium was demolished in 1995, the new Jacksonville Municipal Stadium was built in 19 and one-half months. This $63 million dollar renovation and reconstruction, created on of the finest stadiums in all the NFL.
At the stadium you will find a 25,000 square foot sports bar called the Bud Zone, two state of the art scoreboards, and a completely modern luxury club and suite boxes. The Crown Royal Touchdown Club is considered a signature feature of the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
