Reliant Stadium is the only NFL stadium that boasts the status of being a rodeo coliseum as well. The stadium is home to the Houston Texans as well as other Texas events like rodeo and concerts. Reliant Stadium hosted the Super Bowl back in 2004. In addition to sports, Reliant Stadium hosts numerous musical concerts and other entertainment shows. In 2005, Reliant Stadium was used to house Hurricane Katrina victims who could not be accommodated in the Astrodome.

Reliant Stadium is part of larger sports venue complex called Reliant Park. The stadium has a seating capacity of 71,500 but has the ability to expand if it needs to. Reliant Stadium was the first NFL stadium to have a retractable roof allowing games to be played inside or outside. The stadium also boasts a natural grass playing field that is installed the morning of a football game and removed after the conclusion of the game.
