The United Center is the largest arena in the United States and is home to the Chicago Bulls (NBA) and the Chicago Blackhawks (NHL). It is located in Chicago, Illinois and in addition to sporting events the United Center also hosts concerts and theater events. The venue was built in 1994 with the idea that it would give Chicago sporting events a leap into the 21st century. The seating capacity of the United Center is just under 22,000 for basketball, 20,500 for hockey and 23,500 for concerts and other events. Some famous events that have taken place at the UC include The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, U2, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus and many more. One of the great features the United Center has to offer is the statue of Michael Jordan, which is located outside of the building and is known as a great tourist attraction.
